For me, scrapbooking is more than just a hobby. It's the best way I know how to keep my mind off my troubles and focus my attention on all the blessings I have in my life.
All of the layouts on my blog were designed on my computer using Adobe PhotoShop software. I'm proud to be on Joyce Paul's Creative Team (@ Catscrap & Pickleberrypop) and a member of the Quickpage Team at Pretty Scrappy. I also use a lot of products that generous designers have offered for free. (You can find lists of sites that offer freebies below.)
You will have no trouble figuring out that my favorite subject to scrap is my daughter Danielle. She is a multi-talented artist who loves to draw, paint and take photographs. In fact, most of the pictures I've used here are her own self-portraits.
I've also started designing a book featuring photos of deer, coyotes, otters, turtles and other animals from around my husband's cabin "up north." He took a lot of the pictures himself, and captures others with his gamecams (automatic cameras strapped to trees in the woods).
Thank you for visiting my blog! I would love to hear from you... please feel free to leave your comments or questions here on my blog or you can write to me at cmschultz@new.rr.com
If you see a scrapbook paper or embellishment on my blog that you like that does not have credits listed, please write to me and I can tell you where to find it. I apologize to the designers for not posting this information up front. I mean no disrespect for all of your hard work.
I used work at a newspaper in the graphics department full-time plus sell digital scrapbook kits on the side. All of that came to a halt when I was diagnosed with a rare neurological condition called a Chiari Malformation. I've had three surgeries so far that have only made my symptoms worse.
To try and make a long story short, I am no longer able to work and now use the limited time I'm able to spend on the computer to create scrapbook layouts and maintain my blogs. I feel blessed that I am able to do this because it helps me focus on what is important in my life. Somedays I think it's what helps me keep my sanity!
I saved the kits, embellishments and alphas that I designed before my diagnoses and will be giving them all away a little at a time. So please be sure to visit my blog again! I ask that you download my freebies for personal use only please. If you would like to share them with a friend, please give them a link to my blog. Thank you so much for your understanding and cooperation! :^)
