I just ordered my first photo book from ArtsCow tonight! It was very easy to do. I simply uploaded my layouts, then dragged and dropped them onto the book template.

You will notice on the book template that the sides of each page are shaded in gray to indicate where it will be trimmed off. (This is called the bleed area.) If you want your layout to cover the entire page of your book, you may want to extend your backgrounds out a quarter inch on each side to make sure nothing important gets cut off. Or you can do what I did: Since I did not design my layouts with this extra "bleed" area, I just left a border of white page around each layout. For me, scrapbooking is more than just a hobby. It's the best way I know how to keep my mind off my troubles and focus my attention on all the blessings I have in my life.

I used work at a newspaper in the graphics department full-time plus sell digital scrapbook kits on the side. That came to a halt when I was diagnosed with a rare neurological condition called a Chiari Malformation. I've had three surgeries so far that have only made my symptoms worse.

To try and make a long story short, I am no longer able to work and now use the limited time I'm able to spend on the computer to digital scrapbook and maintain my blog. I feel blessed that I am able to do this because it helps me focus on what is important in my life. Some days I think it's what helps me keep my sanity!
