Solar Powered

An ode to Felica Kitty:

The sunlight makes a cozy spot next to our patio door.

It’s Felicia’s favorite place to relax and to restore.

Her nap is therapeutic (like the tuna she devoured)

She seems to need this daily bask...

Perhaps she’s solar powered?

River Otter

There have been otters living by my husband's camp for some time now. They are pretty shy, but we are hoping to get photos of their pups some spring.

My husband recently moved his office to a different room converted the old one into an art studio for me. (Isn't he awesome!) I wanted to be sure Felicia was comfortable in "our" new room so I bought her a bed for it. She really likes it, but I think she spends more time on top of the table, smack dab in the middle of my art projects than anywhere else!

Thanks for Stopping By

For me, scrapbooking is more than just a hobby. It's the best way I know how to keep my mind off my troubles and focus my attention on all the blessings I have in my life.

I used work at a newspaper in the graphics department full-time plus sell digital scrapbook kits on the side. That came to a halt when I was diagnosed with a rare neurological condition called a Chiari Malformation. I've had three surgeries so far that have only made my symptoms worse.

To try and make a long story short, I am no longer able to work and now use the limited time I'm able to spend on the computer to digital scrapbook and maintain my blog. I feel blessed that I am able to do this because it helps me focus on what is important in my life. Some days I think it's what helps me keep my sanity!
